Common questions.
Can I join during a flare?
Some studies treat flares and others start between flares. Call us and the coordinator will check.
Will I stop my gout medicine?
Never stop or change a medicine on your own. If a study requires a change, the study doctor explains it and it happens under medical supervision.
What tests are done?
Usually uric acid blood tests, joint exams and pain questionnaires. The consent form lists every test.
